It certainly isn't surprising that a Republican and a Democrat have differing views on the employment situation in Maryland. The democratic incumbent, Governor Martin O'Malley acknowledges, "it is tough out there". His republican rival, former governor Robert Ehrlich is getting an earful from businesses as he tours the state campaigning.
It appears Maryland has gone rogue. A state that previously ranked near the bottom in the country for jobs, Maryland has done something many other states can only envy. After having the second highest percentage of job loss in the nation a few months ago, Maryland saw a net gain in July of 8, 100 jobs.
